The Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra is
known for its artistic excellence and exciting performances.
Music Director
Heiichiro Ohyama's dedication to music, high standards and the
talented members of the Orchestra have created a first-rate
ensemble for all to enjoy. Through its 29 years the
Chamber Orchestra has grown from a small "grass-roots" group
into a professional organization. This is thanks to all
those in the community who help to support the concert series
and educational outreach programs produced by the Chamber
Orchestra.
There are many ways you can make a donation to the Chamber
Orchestra. We thank those of you who already support the
Chamber Orchestra and ask others who currently do not to consider giving the gift of music.
Cash gifts: You make a
donation at any time during the year by sending your
contribution to the office at the address below. You can
designate your gift towards a specific program such as our
in-school education program, a special concert or underwriting a
specific orchestra member's chair. Checks are made payable
to SBCO. We also accept credit cards.
Matching Gifts: Many
employers will match your contribution to the Chamber Orchestra,
doubling the amount of your gift. Ask your company if they
have a matching program. If so, they will give you a form
to include when sending your gift.
Donations of Stock: The Chamber
Orchestra welcomes contributions in the form of stock. You
may receive a tax deduction for the full-market value of the
stock at the time the gift is made. Call the Chamber
Orchestra office to arrange for this type of donation.
Planned Giving: You may choose
to designate a planned gift to the Chamber Orchestra in your
will or living trust so that future generations will be able to
enjoy our great Orchestra. Your financial advisors can
help you make those arrangements, or you may call the Chamber
Orchestra to assist you.
SBCO Development Director, Leslie Bisno
