Edwin Outwater A UCSB graduate and former conducting protege of Heiichiro Ohyama, Edwin Outwater recently concluded his tenure as Resident Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony and has been appointed Music Director of the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony in Ontario, Canada. Mr. Outwater has appeared with orchestras all over the U.S. and abroad, including appearances with both the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic, as well as the Baltimore, Houston, Detroit, Seattle, and Indianapolis Symphonies. He served as Resident Conductor and Associate Guest Conductor of the Florida Philharmonic, and has held posts as Associate Conductor of the Festival-Institute at Round Top, Principal Conductor of the Adriatic Chamber Music Festival in Molise, Italy, and Assistant Conductor of the Tulsa Philharmonic.
